Generals to donate $1,000 toward vet memorial in Snoqualmie

The Association of Washington Generals will donate $1,000 toward the Snoqualmie Valley Veterans Memorial being built in Snoqualmie by the The Snoqualmie Valley Historical Museum in conjunction with the local Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Renton-Pickering American Legion.

The memorial will honor Snoqualmie Valley veterans who lost their lives in U.S. wars and conflicts back to the Civil War, and include names of fallen soldiers dating to World War I.  The memorial is scheduled for completion by Veteran's Day (Nov. 11) of this year.

General Mike Flood made the proposal at the AWG's Oct. 11 board meeting. The organization's donation will be recognized by a plaque at the site.
