Vietnam vet photos sought for national memorial project

Photos of 571 of the 1049 Washingtonians who lost their lives in the Vietnam War are being sought by the Department of Veteran Affairs for a national memorial project, according to a story in the Olympian. The photos will be scanned and sent to the Education Center at The Wall in Washington, D.C.

An event at the state Capitol on Friday featuring First Gentlemen Mike Gregoire is being held to collect and scan the images.  More details are in the story.

The Association of Washington Generals has been involved in a number of Veterans projects.
