AWG's Skip Dreps keynotes "Wreaths Across America" ceremony in Seattle

Skip Dreps, a member of the AWG board and our official 'ambassador' to military functions, was the keynote speaker at a "Wreaths Across America" ceremony at the Evergreen Washelli Memorial Park on Dec. 10 in Seattle.

The ceremony honors veterans who are buried in the park with volunteers laying holiday wreaths on soldiers' graves. The annual event is organized jointly by the Navy Wives Club of America, Totem #277, and the “Wreaths Across America" organization. Similar ceremonies take place at grave sites across the nation and at the Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia.

The Seattle ceremony was covered by Seattle's KING TV and its affiliates, and the Seattle P-I ran an Associated Press article on the national ceremony.

More information about the local ceremony, including an extensive biography on General Dreps, is on the Evegreen Washelli web site.
