General Ralph Ibarra, elections coordinator, has outlined the following procedure for the AWG's election of board members. The elections will take place during the association's business meeting on February 14 at 11 a.m. in the Senate Rules Room of the Legislative Building in Olympia (unless otherwise notified).
ASSOCIATION OF WASHINGTON GENERALS ELECTIONS PROCEDUREIn accordance with the Bylaws of the Association of Washington Generals (AWG), notice is hereby given of the Elections Procedure (EP) for General Board members and Officers of the AWG. The EP is as follows:
Ø The deadline for nominations of candidates for General Board members and Officers is COB on Tuesday, January 31, 2012. (Please refer to ARTICLE III – OFFICERS; Section 3.01, 3.02, 3.03, and 3.04 of the Bylaws of the Association of Washington Generals reprinted herein.) Nominations are to be delivered in written form to the Elections Coordinator.
Ø There are seven (7) General Board member seats open, six (6) of which are the Officers positions that will be filled according to Section 3.03 in the AWG Bylaws.
Ø On Tuesday, February 7, 2012, a Slate of Candidates will be distributed to all members in good standing and the results will be announced at the AWG Annual Meeting scheduled for Tuesday, February 14, 2012.
